UXDT-Zero

Acoustic Privacy & Ultrasound Jamming Protection for Android

UXDT-Zero is an advanced acoustic security tool for Android developed by Centuria Labs. It is designed to neutralize Ultrasound Beaconing by creating a localized high-frequency jamming bubble.

🚧 Project Status: Work in Progress

Please note that this project is currently under active development. We are constantly refining the signal generation algorithms and battery optimization. Feedback and contributions are welcome as we work toward a more robust version.

🛡️ How it Works

Many cross-device tracking systems use inaudible ultrasonic signals (18kHz - 22kHz) to identify users and link devices. Sentinel protects your privacy by:

  1. High-Frequency Saturation: Generating a continuous 18.5kHz sine wave that masks incoming ultrasonic data.
  2. Acoustic Jamming Bubble: The app creates a localized "interference zone" around the smartphone. Within this bubble, any tracking beacon becomes unreadable "white noise" for unauthorized apps.
  3. Persistence: Utilizing a Foreground Service to ensure the protection remains active even when the device is locked.

🧪 Testing the Protection

To verify that the jamming bubble is active, you can use a Spectrum Analyzer app (available on another smartphone) or dedicated hardware.

  • Once Sentinel is activated, you will see a prominent and steady peak at exactly 18.5kHz on the spectrometer.
  • This peak represents the active acoustic barrier that prevents the decoding of other signals in the ultrasonic range.

⚠️ Important Disclaimer & Safety Guidelines

While the jamming signal is designed to be inaudible to the human ear, it operates at a high frequency that can be detected by sensitive biological ears (such as pets).

  • Pet Safety: To avoid causing discomfort to animals (dogs, cats, rodents), DO NOT point the device's speakers directly at them.
  • The Bubble Principle: Sentinel is designed to protect the immediate vicinity of the phone. By keeping the device at a reasonable distance from your pets (e.g., on a table or in your pocket), the ultrasonic signal dissipates enough to avoid

!!!!!!Legal & Regulatory Section: Is Sentinel Legal?!!!!! A common question regarding any "jamming" technology is its legality. It is crucial to distinguish between radio frequency (RF) interference and acoustic protection.

Europe (GDPR & ePrivacy Directive) In the European Union, using Sentinel is not only legal but aligns with the core principles of GDPR.

Right to Privacy Defense: Since uXDT tracking often occurs without explicit, informed consent (violating the ePrivacy Directive), users have the right to employ technological measures to safeguard their private sphere.

Nature of the Signal: Sentinel emits sound waves, not radio waves. Therefore, it does not violate ETSI standards or national laws regarding the disruption of communication frequencies (such as those prohibiting GPS or GSM jammers).

United States and Global Outlook FCC (USA): FCC regulations prohibit devices that interfere with authorized radio communications. Because Sentinel operates within the acoustic spectrum and does not interfere with licensed RF spectrums, it does not fall under the strict "Signal Jammer" bans.

Restrictions: The only potential legal boundary concerns noise pollution or public nuisance laws. However, since Sentinel’s signal is quasi-ultrasonic (inaudible to humans) and limited by the hardware power of smartphone speakers, it does not constitute a violation of standard noise emission regulations.
