Linkml schema doc confirms a value of the uri type is a RDF IRI and must be absolute since linkml/linkml#4156

This PR changes the definition stating a URI starts with a scheme, an IRI in RDF, and the string-derived type for text,

Linkml PR: linkml/linkml#4207

Decision

conforms_to needs decision. The fix seems to be RFC 3986 because that is what format: uri and URI accept. If uri is meant to support any RDF IRI per RFC 3987 then the definition should remain but generator's format and URI should widen.

The disagreements are:

  • model / docs / implementation: we write http://a.example/é, and rdflib_loader then refuses that graph with ... is not a valid URI
  • specifications: one allows non-ASCII characters and the the other expands to a value that is an IRI but not an RFC 3986 URI
