📍 Noida, India | 🏦 RBI Account Aggregator systems | 🐍 Open source Python
I'm a backend engineer focused on the parts of a system that users never see but always depend on: data models, query performance and APIs that stay predictable under load. Today that means regulated financial data flows at SurePass. In my own time, it means open source: two FastAPI libraries, fastapi-tenancy and fastapi-locale, and fixes merged into SQLAlchemy.
Software Engineer | SurePass Technologies May 2026 - present
I work on the backend of finpass.ai, which delivers customer financial data to NBFC lenders under the RBI Account Aggregator framework.
- End-to-end consent lifecycle: request, approval, revocation and expiry
- A vault that brings data from multiple aggregators into one secure store
- Failover across AAs and TSPs, so one provider outage does not interrupt data delivery
- A leaner bank statement analyzer: faster runs at lower cost
Python Backend Developer | In2IT Technologies Apr 2024 - Apr 2026
In-house products for network teams, dashboards and employee monitoring.
- iProvision: REST APIs for network inventory and device operations over SNMP and NETCONF/RESTCONF. With 10,000+ concurrent users on it, Redis, Celery and query tuning took latency from 800 ms to 250 ms and tripled request capacity
- iDashboard: backend for a custom dashboard and chart builder
- ProWatch: backend for employee performance monitoring and managing employee systems
- Delivery: Docker, GitHub Actions and Jenkins pipelines at 85%+ test coverage; 35% fewer production bugs, 60% faster deploys
Backend Developer (apprenticeship) | CodeQuotient Jun 2023 - Dec 2023
My first backend role: REST APIs for their education platform, built with Node.js, Express and Django REST Framework.
Multi-tenant SaaS on FastAPI usually means rewriting the same plumbing: resolving the tenant, scoping every session and keeping migrations in step. fastapi-tenancy turns that plumbing into configuration. It is fully async, runs on PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite and SQL Server, and keeps test coverage above 90%.
| Strategy | How tenants are isolated |
|---|---|
| Schema per tenant | One database, a separate schema for each tenant |
| Database per tenant | A dedicated database for each tenant |
| Row-level security | Shared tables, protected by PostgreSQL RLS policies |
| Hybrid | A combination of the above |
pip install fastapi-tenancyTranslations for FastAPI APIs, built on standard gettext catalogs. Each request gets a locale from a query parameter, Accept-Language or a cookie, and the response comes back in that language, including FastAPI's 422 validation errors with correct plural forms. Lazy text works inside Pydantic models and HTTPException, and a small CLI extracts, updates, compiles and checks catalogs in CI. Currently a release candidate.
pip install --pre fastapi-localeBoth libraries live under fastapi-extensions, an organisation I founded to maintain well-tested FastAPI add-ons. Issues, ideas and pull requests are welcome.
Two contributions, reviewed through SQLAlchemy's Gerrit workflow and shipped in 2.1.0b1:
- Guarded against a silent schema bug. An ENUM or DOMAIN named after a built-in PostgreSQL type now raises a clear error instead of producing broken DDL. #12761, PR #12822
- Extended inline typing in
sqlalchemy.sql.baseas part of the project's typing roadmap. #6810, PR #12707
How MCP servers and LLM tool calling can sit safely on top of existing backend services.
