Let legacy accounts add a verified email and password - #9226
Let users with a generated account email verify a real address and set a password while keeping their existing account and Pro subscription.
Connect the recovery flow across desktop and mobile, and check that the subsequent login matches the original account. Includes regression coverage for recovery and the native bridges.

Walkthrough
This pull request adds a legacy-account email-binding flow. It adds core and mobile APIs, connects them to Flutter, and updates account and authentication screens to recognize placeholder emails and guide users through verification.
Changes: Legacy email binding
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Core binding and verification go.mod, lantern-core/core.go, lantern-core/legacy_email.go, lantern-core/legacy_email_test.go
The core adds start and completion operations. Completion derives an SRP verifier, submits the verification code, checks account data in specified error cases, and logs in with the bound credentials. Tests cover requests, error cases, readback checks, login results, timeouts, cancellation, and redirects.
Mobile and platform transport lantern-core/mobile/mobile.go, lantern-core/ffi/ffi.go, android/.../MethodHandler.kt, ios/.../MethodHandler.swift, macos/.../MethodHandler.swift, lib/lantern/*service.dart, lib/lantern/lantern_generated_bindings.dart, pubspec.yaml, test/lantern/*
The mobile, FFI, platform-channel, and Dart service layers expose both binding operations. The FFI header configuration and generated bindings are updated. Bridge tests check method names, arguments, and error results.
The app identifies legacy placeholder addresses and treats them as unusable for recovery. Account, settings, and Pro setup surfaces expose add-email entry points, and AddEmail routes placeholder-email accounts into binding.
Verification and binding completion lib/features/auth/provider/auth_notifier.dart, lib/features/auth/create_password.dart, lib/features/auth/confirm_email.dart, lib/features/auth/choose_payment_method.dart, lib/core/router/router.gr.dart, test/features/auth/legacy_email_binding_test.dart
The auth flow starts binding, handles code resends and completion, and updates login and user data after success. It carries the originating flow and license key through navigation. Tests cover binding, confirmation, failures, existing email changes, and recovery validation.

The binding flow has a narrow large-ID conversion defect, and signup remains unavailable while account lookup fails. These bounded concerns warrant owner awareness or follow-up; no serious security or availability failure is established.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Directly linked issue [#4024] has one coding requirement: an in-app path to bind a real email to Pro accounts with a support+<user_id>@getlantern.org placeholder. The PR implements this path end to end:
Placeholder detection: isLegacyPlaceholderEmail and hasLegacyPlaceholderEmail in lib/core/models/user.dart.
Account screen: lib/features/account/account.dart shows an add-email action for placeholder accounts and opens AddEmail with AuthFlow.bindLegacyEmail.
Recovery entry: ResetPasswordEmail rejects placeholder addresses, so a placeholder cannot receive a code.
Binding core: lantern-core/legacy_email.go starts binding with a POST request. It completes binding by sending an SRP verifier with the code, then requires a successful login for the same legacy user ID. A mismatch returns a binding-required error.
Bridges: StartBindLegacyEmail and CompleteBindLegacyEmail exist in lantern-core/core.go, lantern-core/ffi/ffi.go, lantern-core/mobile/mobile.go, the Android and iOS and macOS method handlers, and the Dart FFI, platform, and service layers.
UI flow: AddEmail, CreatePassword, and ConfirmEmail route the binding flow and resume the originating flow.
Tests: Go tests in legacy_email_test.go cover request paths, SRP verifier, failures, retries, and redirects. Dart tests cover placeholder logic, the widget flow, and the platform bridge.
The issue items for counting placeholder accounts and reviewing customer emails in TICKET-184344 are investigation or context. They are not coding requirements. The go.sum file is excluded from review under the !**/*.sum rule. This does not affect the verdict because the requirement is established by the reviewable source files listed above.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes support the legacy-email binding objective of [#4024]:
Core, FFI, mobile, native handler, Dart bridge, and UI changes implement the binding flow.
Placeholder-email logic and Account and setting visibility changes apply the feature to affected accounts.
Tests cover the new behavior.
go.mod adds the direct github.com/1Password/srp requirement. This package derives the SRP verifier used by legacy_email.go. The github.com/getlantern/radiance version bump supplies the account API used by the core. Both support the flow.
pubspec.yaml adds an ffigeninclude-directives rule. This rule explains the regenerated lib/lantern/lantern_generated_bindings.dart. The regeneration removes Windows CRT declarations and changes the ptrdiff_t typedef. This is a generated-output side effect of the configuration change. The summary does not show any Dart code that uses the removed declarations, so no unrelated product behavior is established.
lib/core/utils/pro_utils.dart and lib/features/auth/choose_payment_method.dart route the new AuthFlow value. They do not change unrelated behavior.
Limit: the generated bindings diff is large (+960/-6790). This review relied on the summary and did not inspect that file's hunks. No unrelated change is demonstrated.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 8 functions across 8 files. 🟡 Changes recommended
The sign-in fallback bypasses the original account-identity check, allowing a retry to replace the legacy account that email binding is intended to preserve.
Adds a verified-email and password setup flow for legacy accounts with generated addresses, intended to preserve their existing identity and Pro subscription across desktop and mobile.
Changes:
Adds legacy-email binding requests, account-checked login, and native/FFI bridges.
Updates account and authentication screens to recognize placeholder addresses and guide users through verification.
Adds regression tests and updates Radiance and binding-generation configuration.
Test the binding success path through the real reload.
The success test overrides homeProvider with _Home. Its reloadUserData() sets the expected account itself and never calls lanternServiceProvider. The assertions that follow read that fake state. A stale or incorrect account from the production HomeNotifier.reloadUserData() would still pass them.
Use the real HomeNotifier with a fake service whose getUserData() returns the post-binding response. Assert the legacy ID, the legacy token, and the email from the resulting provider state.

Format float64 user IDs without shortest-digit padding.
strconv.FormatFloat(number, 'f', -1, 64) writes the shortest decimal that round-trips to the stored float64, then pads it with zeros. For an integer-valued float64 above about 10^16, the result can differ from the stored integer. For example, float64(1<<60) becomes 1152921504606847000 instead of 1152921504606846976.
userIDAsInt64 in lantern-core/core.go returns int64(x) for the same key type, so it keeps the exact value. This binding flow can derive a different ID from the same setting, and the requests then send that different ID.
The repository does not bound issued user IDs, so whether such IDs occur is unknown. This change does not recover an ID that was already rounded when stored as float64. It removes the extra divergence this flow adds.

Why do we need separate go file for this? Is there any way we could follow the same structure we've been following for all this stuff? Regarding the request URL, it should be on the radians just for consistency.
