hash_merge_delta matched tool call deltas to their call by `index` and appended every delta without one as a new entry. OpenAI-compatible servers (Gemini's compatibility endpoint, some Ollama and OpenRouter backends) omit the index, so each argument fragment became its own tool call with partial arguments. An unindexed delta now continues the call with the same id, or the last call when it has no id and no function name; a delta with a function name starts a call. A streamed generation has no response body, so response.finish_reason (and its stop_reason alias) was always nil for streamed Chat and Anthropic generations, and so was the finish_reason of the prompt.active_agent instrumentation event. Record it from the stream (the chunk's finish_reason for Chat, the message_delta's stop_reason for Anthropic) and let the response fall back to it. finish_reason read choices[0].finish_reason or stop_reason from the response body, neither of which the Responses API has, so it was nil for every Responses generation, streamed or not. Use incomplete_details.reason when the response was cut short, else its status, and record the same from the final response.completed or response.incomplete event of a stream. Count and bucket the full scoped window independently of capped details. Average recorded request durations and disclose truncated details. Refs #384
Resolve pinned models with ModelSpec before choosing a provider key. Keep route qualifiers out of provider payloads and honor explicit pins above credential resolver defaults. A run that never asks the judge is not held to its pin. Refs #431
